Feline Anemia is characterized by a reduced number of red blood cells or hemoglobin (a protein that is carried by red cells) or both. It is not a specific disease but the result of some disease process.
Anemic cats are usually weak or less active, their gums may be pale instead of a healthy pink color, and they may have an increased breathing rate.
