Cat > Atopic Dermatitis
Information
An allergic skin disease common to cats is Feline Atopic Dermatitis. It can be caused by the cat's immune system hypersensitivity to common substances in the environment, such as dust mites or mold.
The signs of atopic dermatitis usually appear within the first two years of a cat's life. If the cat begins to groom excessively, with licking or chewing of the paws, abdomen, and hindquarters, it may be suffering from Atopic Dermatitis.
