Cat > Hyperthyroidism
Information
Hyperthyroidism (also known as thyrotoxicosis) is one of the most common diseases of the middle-aged and older cat.
Weight loss, increased appetite (though decreased appetite could be a symptom as well), vomiting, increased thirst and urination, hyperactivity and diarrhea can all be signs of feline hyperthyroidism. Heart problems associated with this disease include increased heart rate, arrhythmias and congestive heart failure.
